Introduction

Hindu Satkar Samity is a unique organization, perhaps the only one in India, registered under Act XXI of 1860, engaged in carrying and cremating dead bodies of Poor, Homeless, and Friendless & Helpless Hindus.

We are the first...

1.   The Hindu Satkar Samity was the first and the only cremation society, working uninterruptedly for three quarters of a century.

 

2.     The Samity was the first to make use of motor vans for carrying dead bodies.

 

3. The Samity is the first and perhaps the only organisation to have carried and cremated more than 3 lacs of dead bodies.

Recognition

The Hindu Satkar Samity is recognised and authorised by -

 

1.             The Government of West Bengal

2.           The Kolkata Municipal Corporation

3.          The Kolkata Police

4.          The Indian Railways, Sealdah Division

             To carry and cremate unclaimed dead bodies.
